The sea border is 5.835 kilometers long, and its territorial
waters cover an area of 31.067 square kilometers.

Zagreb is the capital of the Republic of Croatia. As the
largest city in Croatia, Zagreb is the cultural, scientific,
economic, commercial, political and administrative center
of the country. The Croatian Parliament, the President, as
well as the Government of the Republic of Croatia are located
in Zagreb.
Zagreb offers the barroque atmosphere of its Old Town, picturesque

Hvar, Vis, Korčula i Mljet.
Two exotic peninsulas are located at the very North and the
very South of the coast line: Istra i Pelješac. You will be

Climate
Croatia is divided into two basic climate zones. A continental,
partially even mountainous, climate prevails in the interior,
while a pleasant Mediterranean climate with numerous sunny
days prevails along the Adriatic Coast.
The Mediterranean climate in Croatia is characterized by
dry and hot summers with mild and humid winters. Average temperature
along the coast in January is between 6 and 11 degrees Celsius,
while in August it is between 21 and 27 degrees Celsius. The
average sea temperature during the winter is 12 degrees Celsius,
while during the summer it reaches around 25 degrees Celsius.
Time Zone
Like most European countries, Croatia belongs to the Central
European time zone (GMT +1).
Language and Alphabet
Croatian is the official language of the country and the
Latin alphabet is the official alphabet.. Croatian is a Slavic
language similar to Czech, Slovak, Slovenian and Serbian.
